FY 26 TAX CLASSIFICATION
PUBLIC HEARING
The Upton Select Board will hold a Public Hearing to determine the percentage of the local tax levy to be borne by each class of real and personal property—residential, open space, commercial, and industrial—for Fiscal Year 2026, as authorized by Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40, Section 56.

- Location: Room 203, Upton Town Hall, 1 Main Street
Purpose:
The purpose of this hearing is to allow taxpayers to present their views on how the local tax levy should be distributed among the various classes of real and personal property for the upcoming fiscal year.
Presentation:
The Board of Assessors will present information on the available options for distributing the tax burden. These may include a single tax rate for all property classes or differentiated rates for residential, commercial, industrial, and personal property.
Public Participation:
All interested taxpayers are encouraged to attend and provide input.

Remote participation will be available via Microsoft Teams. A link will be posted on the Select Board agenda prior to the meeting at www.uptonma.gov .
