With the departure of Town Manager Joseph Laydon who will be leaving the end of August to become the Town Administrator in Bellingham, the Select Board is seeking interested residents to serve on Town Manager Screening Committee. Per the Town Manager Act, with a vacancy in the position of town manager, the Select Board “appoint a screening committee of five (5) Upton residents for the purpose of identifying candidates for appointment to the position of town manager.”
Interested residents are encouraged to submit an Application for Volunteer Services for consideration for appointment to the Town Manager Search Committee. The application can be found at the link below. Applications will be accepted through September 3rd with appointments being considered at the September 9th Select Board meeting.
